Mike Rupp 2000-01 Albany River Rats AHL Road Red #23, SP AK (size tag removed, appears to be a 58). Numbers and letters are fully sewn on (White on Black), with name sewn on a red nameplate sewn on the jersey. NJ Devil embroidered logo patches on each shoulder. Three repairs on jersey, one in the right armpit, is upside down “V” shaped, with a total length of about 4 inches. The other two appear on the right arm. One is 1.5 inches, right in the middle and parallel to the black stripe on the sleeve. The second is in the red area closer to the cuff, and is over two inches long. Low number of, but still adequate number of puck/board/stick marks and other filth on sleeves/abdominal area. Nice 3 inch long, thick black stick mark on left back, next to the “2”. AHL patches affixed in proper hem and neck areas (lower case ahl) on back. White, hollow (red in middle), “SP” logo embroidered on hem next to AHL circular patch. Bruce Gardnier 2001-02 Albany River Rats AHL Red Road #22 SP AK sz 58. Numbers and letters are fully sewn on (White on Black), with name sewn on a red nameplate sewn on the jersey. NJ Devil embroidered logo patches on each shoulder. Team rated the wear 7.5/10, but I would give it a 5-6. No repairs on jersey, two small holes on left sleeve, inch long hole on right, with ˝ inch hole just above that, then Ľ inch hole above that. Adequate number of puck/board/stick marks and other filth on sleeves/abdominal area, 3-5 board burns on each elbow. AHL patches affixed in proper hem and neck areas (lower case ahl) on back. Fight strap with silver metal snap, Velcro stained pink, with black thread/lint stuck in Velcro. Possible glue residue in shape of “A” (alternate captain) in proper location on front left chest area. Benjamin Carpentier 2001-02 Albany River Rats AHL Road Red #7 SP heavy knit sz 56. Numbers and letters are fully sewn on (White on Black), with name sewn on a red nameplate sewn on the jersey. NJ Devil embroidered logo patches on each shoulder. Four board burns on left sleeve, along with one large board burn and a few stick marks, and some more general grime (could possibly be blood at cuff of sleeve). Right sleeve has one dime-sized hole, as well as a few stick marks and board burns. There is decent pilling on the front hem, a few slashes/hooks across the front stomach area, and a slice along the hem on the right shoulder area. There is another slice in the black shoulder area. Fou small holes appear above the rear nameplate, where the “Goc” nameplate was removed. There are at least three stick marks on the back, including a dark black one at the bottom of the rear “7”. Two large and many smaller holes accompany three board burns on left sleeve, which shows more wear than the right. Right features one large shiny as well as several smaller board burns. Low number of, but still adequate number of puck/board/stick marks and other filth on sleeves/abdominal area. Nice 3 inch long, thick black stick mark on right shoulder. Steve Kariya 2002-2003 Albany River Rats AHL GI Red Road #15, SP AK sz 52 Set 2. Numbers and letters are fully sewn on (White on Black), with name sewn on a red nameplate sewn on the jersey. NJ Devil embroidered logo patches on each shoulder. Colorful (teal, silver, gray, white, red, and black) “Tenth Anniversary” fully embroidered crest. The story is that these jerseys were to be worn as the second of three sets in the 2002-2003 season. Supposedly Lou Lamerillo, the NJ Devils General Manger shot this idea down. With the jerseys already made, some were auctioned off at the conclusion of the year. Others have been raffled off at the home games, including this one. Steve has tastefully signed this one, on the back “5” and added his #15. AHL patches affixed in proper hem and neck (CAPITAL AHL) areas on back. Mike Matteucci 2002-2003 Albany River Rats AHL White Road Set 3 SP Air Kit size 56 #4 with alt. captain’s “A”. Sewn in team tag #GW0071 Game Worn ’02-’03 Season- Albany River Rats Locker Room sewn under hem seam on rear of jersey. Numbers and letters fully are sewn on (Red on Black), with name sewn on a white nameplate sewn on the jersey. NJ Devil embroidered logo patches sewn on each shoulder. Right sleeve has a pea sized hole above the “4”, and several stick marks at that latitude. There is a inch and a half repair in the black, just to the front of the elbow reinforcement. There is a nice red board transfer at the end of the sleeve, as well as several burns throughout the sleeve. Many hack marks also appear. The left sleeve black stripe holds the highlight of the wear, with 1.5 by 2 inch (at least) repair. There is also a repair starting in the black, going through the red, and into the white, right next to the elbow reinforcement, with a twin right next to it. There are also several nice stick hacks, and great board burns, many have joined together. There are two unrepaired holes above the stripes as well. The top black shoulder area has a five inch long red board burn, which continues onto the back. There are a stick and board marks scattered throughout the jersey, and considerable pilling on the back near the fightstrap. There’s a hole on the right front shoulder seam AHL patches affixed in proper hem and neck (CAPITAL AHL) areas on back. Fight strap with silver metal snap, black thread/lint stuck in Velcro. Two large holes accompany a board burns and a handful of stick marks on left sleeve, which shows about the same wear as the right. Right features one large hole as well as three several smaller board burns. Very few puck/board/stick marks and other filth on jersey. One hack mark appears on stomach area, as well as three or four slight discolorations on upper right chest area. Two board burns are on rear hem area. Frank Littlejohn 2003-04 Albany River Rats AHL Road White #17, SP AirKnit sz 56. No team tag sewn in jersey. Jersey color mesh inserts on each rib area on sides of jersey. Solid black “SP” with hollow Maple Leaf emerging from left side of “S” in “SP” embroidered in rear hem. Numbers and letters are fully sewn on (Red on Black), with name sewn on a white nameplate sewn on the jersey. NJ Devil embroidered logo patches on each shoulder. AHL patches affixed in proper hem and neck (CAPITAL AHL) areas on back. No repairs on jersey, but nice use considering he only played two games on the road with Albany (both in Binghamton in the Spring of ’04). Sly Cloutier also wore #17 that year, and may have worn the same jersey. There is no conclusive evidence of a nameplate change though. There are two light board burns on the black area, and a dull stain up near the “17” on the left. The right sleeve shows better wear, with a long stick mark, a small blue paint transfer, four small unrepaired holes and a decent size light red paint transfer right near the end. The front shows a black spot near the heart (from Denis Hamel’s stick- caught on tape), and two hooking marks near the stomach area. ACQ: Team, 4/05
Frank Littlejohn 2003-04 Albany River Rats AHL Home Red #17, SP AirKnit sz 56. No team tag sewn in jersey. Jersey color mesh inserts on each rib area on sides of jersey. Solid white “SP” with hollow Maple Leaf emerging from left side of “S” in “SP” embroidered in rear hem. Numbers and letters are fully sewn on (White on Black), with name sewn on a red nameplate sewn on the jersey. NJ Devil embroidered logo patches on each shoulder. AHL patches affixed in proper hem and neck (CAPITAL AHL) areas on back. No repairs on jersey, but nice use considering he only played two games at the Pepsi with Albany (he fought Brendan Walsh of Prividence). Sly Cloutier also wore #17 that year, and may have worn the same jersey. There is no conclusive evidence of a nameplate change though. The left sleeve has about 10 black marks of various sizes, as well as a slice on the top white slice. The right sleeve shows less wear, with a couple of board burns and 3 very small holes. Rob Skrlac 2004-05 Albany River Rats AHL Home White #29, SP heavy knit sz 58. Numbers and letters are fully sewn on (White on Black), with name sewn on a red nameplate sewn on the jersey. NJ Devil embroidered logo patches on each shoulder. Jersey color mesh inserts on each rib area on sides of jersey. The front of the collar hasbeen pulled apart and repaired. Several long stick marks and very heavy blood staining on right sleeve. Blood covers left sleeve. Blood stains cover the entire front of the jersey, as well as the upper portion of the back (especially the right side). AHL patches affixed in proper hem and neck (CAPITAL AHL) areas on back. Fight strap with silver metal snap, Velcro stained slightly pink. Additional fight strap has been sewn into the stomach area, with a white snap, and the Velcro has been stained a light red/black color. Cam Janssen 2004-05 Albany River Rats AHL Home Red #17, SP heavy knit sz 56. This is Cam’s first professional jersey, as he switched to a size 52 later in the year. Numbers and letters are fully sewn on (White on Black), with “JANSSEN” sewn on a red nameplate sewn on the jersey. NJ Devil embroidered logo patches on each shoulder. . Fight strap with silver metal snap, Velcro stained slightly pink. Additional fight strap has been sewn into the stomach area, with a white snap, and the Velcro has been stained a light red/black color. Right sleeve has a 3 inch board burn, as well as several other pills and a dime sized burn in the black stripe. There is a small hole near the “17”, and some black marks on the “1” on the right sleeve. There are a few black marks on the back, as well as a mark from the top of the dashers. There is good pilling around the hem. The rear fight strap has been folded over and shortened.
